Keith Hart, whose eponymous marketing company specializes in the New York nightlife and entertainment scene, was inspired by his battle with thyroid cancer to establish the Long Island Hospitality Ball—a charity gala to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The inaugural 2011 event was a showcase for top local restaurants, wine and spirit brands, nightclubs and entertainers as well as hotels and catering halls. 1,500 guests attended and the event raised $170,000. This year’s ball will be held on June 18 at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
